Friends of DEA are members of the community who support our vision of a healthy planet, healthy people and want to be involved.
There are many ways our friends can assist us but here a few to consider:
- Financial support
- Attending and participating in our campaign activities.
DEA is funded by its membership fees and donations from members of the community. If you would like to support DEA through either a one off or regular donations please click here to go to our donations page. All donations $2 and above are tax deductible
Our organisation is predominantly membership based with 3 staff managing the day to day operations. Members volunteer their time outside their medical employment to assist, however we also rely on the generosity of volunteers with specialist skills to assist us in our day to day operations. Volunteer opportunities are available to adults 18 years and over. Below are a list of skills sets which are regularly required:
- Graphic Design
- Website Maintenance
- Social Media Management
- Campaign Work
- Data Entry
If you would like to volunteer please send your resume and cover letter to Kylie Astell at firstname.lastname@example.org. Your cover letter should detail the skills you believe you can provide to DEA as well as your availability during the week.
Throughout the year, DEA has a number of major campaigns which align with our vision of a healthy planet, healthy people. These campaigns can range from online petitions to visiting our local MPs and discussing a range of topics from climate change, the environment, renewable energy, fossil fuel usage and public health. To keep informed of our campaign activities please sign up to our quarterly newsletter.
