
Farmers and rural communities in large parts of regional and rural Queensland are seeing the impacts of climate change first-hand. Community support, collaboration and resilience are helping them to deal with the many challenges, including issues around mental health.
DEA member and Queensland GP Dr Nicole Sleeman, who is also quoted in this story, says that although climate change represents the greatest public health issue of the century, we’re not prepared.
We need the government to invest in a climate-resilient health system.
